Now that we’re almost to March (which is kind of hard to believe!), it’s time to debrief my winter bucket list and see what I was able to accomplish.

As a reminder, here are some of the things I was hoping to do (and what I was able to check off my list):

  1. Read the Throne of Glass series. After reading the ACOTAR series by Sarah J. Mass this past year, I was excited to read another beloved series that a lot of her fans can’t stop raving about. I read this series in January and completely understand the hype. (You can hear more about what I thought about the series in this YouTube video.)
  2. Wrapped up any final details for my book. I turned in the final manuscript for the second edition of The Blended Course Design Workbook in November and the publisher moved quickly through the different tasks that were needed to move the book into production. The final page proof review was due March 1, so it was nice to get this all wrapped up over the last several months.
  3. Grew out a too-short haircut. I went to a new stylist and they cut my hair shorter than I was anticipating. The good news? Hair grows! I’m still growing out the cut a couple more inches, but made great progress in this winter season.
  4. Wrote more. I have a few writing-related goals on my 2024 annual goals list, so I was expecting to write more in the early months of the New Year. I did get some ideas outlined for my 2024 book project, which felt really satisfying. Edit LinkVisit Link
  5. Completed a jigsaw puzzle. Is there anything better than puzzling on a cold winter day? I completed a few different puzzles in this winter season while listening to audiobooks and that was a lovely way to add some coziness to the season.
  6. Took a snowy walk. I ended up visiting another campus in the winter season on a day that started with a snow storm. I was able to take a campus tour in the snow, which was a perfect way to check this goal off my bucket list.

What is one of your favorite memories from this most recent season?
