A few years back, I began writing monthly to-do lists to help me keep track of what’s on my plate. I share these lists here, and report back each month on what I was able to accomplish.

My November list focused on a pretty wide range of tasks and goals. Here’s what I was able to get done in the last month:

  • Survived the election. I’m glad that the election was in the first part of the month because I really wanted to get it over with. While it didn’t turn out on the way that I was hoping, it did encourage me to take some time and reflect so that I could make a new four-year plan.
  • Took a roadtrip to visit family. My partner and I planned a roadtrip over the Thanksgiving week to visit some family in California. It had been several years since we had gone back to his hometown and so the trip was way overdue. We were happy to get in some fun and relaxing time with family.
  • (Almost) wrapped up my new website project. I’ve been working with a web developer to refresh my main website and we made good progress in November. I’m excited to share it with you before the end of 2024! (I have a second website project launching later this year, so stay tuned for that as well.)
  • Hit 20k minutes on the Peloton app. This was one of my 24 goals for 2024 and I was able to achieve it in November. It was great to have this goal as motivation to stay consistent with my movement practices even when it started getting colder and darker outside.Edit LinkVisit Link

November was a packed month with lots of different projects and goals to focus on. Now it’s time to plan for a new month of to-do items! I’m ready to launch into December and see what this last month of the year will bring.

Here are some of the items on my December to-do list:

  • Turn in a report at work. We’ve spent the last several months gathering feedback on an important report I’m collaboratively drafting at work. In December, I’ll need to wrap up the final revisions and get this turned in.
  • Complete a winter break retreat. As I’ve done in previous years, I’m planning to use my winter break to have a retreat that will help prepare me for some of my business services and programs in 2025. This often includes a lot of smaller tasks that I assign myself throughout my vacation time.
  • Read a chunky series. Some of the final assigned books I have to finish from my 24 books to reading in 2024 are the Faithful and the Fallen series (2,800+ pages). I don’t know much about this series other than it comes highly recommended. I plan to listen to the books on audio.
  • Wrap up my annual goals. I have a few goals left in my 24 goals for 2024 list that I need to complete, so I’ll carve out the time to get those wrapped up in this last month of the year.

I’m really looking forward to what I’m going to accomplish this upcoming month! What are you looking forward to in the month of December?
