One of the things that I enjoy tracking is upcoming book releases that I’m excited about. Knowing when books are coming out means that I can put holds on books at my library so that they don’t fall off my radar.

I recently shared some highly anticipated spring releases. Here are some of the recently released or upcoming books that I’m most excited about for the summer (and their release dates):

  • Problematic Summer Romance by Ali Hazelwood (May 27) – a romance with an age difference trope set in a Sicilian villa
  • Releasing 10 by Chloe Walsh (May 27) – a YA romance with bipolar disorder representation that’s the next installment in a favorite series of mine
  • Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid (June 3) – a novel set against the backdrop of the 1980s Space Shuttle program
  • Fifty Fifty by Steve Cavanagh (June 3) – a mystery about two sisters who are on trial for murder and they each are accusing the other

  • Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by V.E. Schwab (June 10) – a novel described as a genre-defying story about immortality and hunger
  • Murderland by Caroline Fraser (June 10) – a nonfiction account of two decades of serial killers in the northwest United States
  • The Poppy Fields by Nikki Erlick (June 17) – described as a high-concept speculative novel about heartache, hope, and human resilience
  • Rose in Chains by Julie Soto (July 8) – a romantasy novel in which the war is over, the dark forces have won, and the hero who was supposed to save them is dead
  • Finding Grace by Loretta Rothschild (July 8) – a novel described as a page-turning moral dilemma with satisfying emotional poignancy
  • Departure 37 by Scott Carson (August 5) – a horror novel about the aftermath of hundreds of pilots who receive disturbing, middle-of-the-night calls from their mothers telling them not to fly that day
  • If Not for My Baby by Kate Golden (August 5) – a rock star and his backup singer are the main characters of this contemporary romance
  • The Fallen and the Kiss of Dusk by Carissa Broadbent (August 5) – the fourth installment of a fantasy series that takes place in mortal and immortal realms
  • Too Old for This by Samantha Downing (August 12) – a retired serial killer’s quiet life is upended by an unexpected visitor
