My April To-Do List

Several years back, I began to write monthly to-do lists to help me keep track of what’s on my plate on a different time scale than days or weeks. I share these lists here, and report back each month on what I was able to accomplish.

My March list focused on making progress in a number of timely tasks! Here’s what I was able to get done in the last month:

  1. Created my spring bucket list. I like to have a bucket list as I transition between seasons, so I put together my list for spring that will run March through May. It’s so fun to think ahead to lighter and warmer days as we get further into the year.
  2. Attended a local conference. The UPCEA conference happened in Denver and I attended three days of great sessions. I didn’t present anything, but I did lead an AMA session, which was a new addition to the conference this year. I also ran into a bunch of colleagues that I hadn’t seen in years and really enjoyed the time to catch up with them.
  3. Took a couple of vacation days. Work has been pretty full-on in the first part of this year, so I took a couple days out of the office toward the end of March. I used those two days to work ahead on some content creation and coach training course prep, so it was time well spent.
  4. Prepared to read Onyx Storm. The latest book in the Fourth Wing series came out in January and I wanted to re-read the first two books in the series before diving into the latest one. I have them all on audio and ebook and I’ve been saving them for when I have a little more open time on my plate. Unfortunately, I did not get to this in March, so it will move to later this spring.

March was a pretty full month with lots going on and now it’s time to plan for a new month of to-do items! I’m ready to launch into April and see what this next month of the year will bring.

Here are some of the items on my April to-do list:

  1. Begin a yoga therapy training program. I decided to deepen my yoga practice with some more training around how yoga can be used therapeutically to treat a number of issues. I’ll be sharing more about this program soon on the podcast, but I’m really looking forward to diving into the course materials in April.
  2. Celebrate my partner’s birthday. My partner has a birthday in April, so we’ll be celebrating him this month. At the very least, I expect we’ll do a birthday dinner, but I need to check in with him to see what he wants to do to celebrate another year around the sun.
  3. Launch 3 coach training courses and wrap up PM by Design sessions. Spring is a busy time for the coach training courses that I teach. I have a few courses that will launch in April and I’ll also be closing out the first offering of PM by Design, which has been so fun to facilitate!
  4. Complete final edited collection tasks. Our manuscript is due May 1, so my co-editors and I will be doing a final comb through of the book to get it ready to be sent off to the publisher. This has been such a great project to collaborate on in the first part of 2025.

It’s going to be a busy month! What are you looking forward to in the month of April?
