Now that we’re almost to December, it’s time to debrief my fall bucket list and see what I was able to accomplish.

As a reminder, here are some of the things I was hoping to do (and what I was able to check off my list):

  1. Read You, Again. This book is a When Harry Met Sally retelling, which seemed like a perfect book for the fall. I actually really liked this book and it stayed on my mind for days after I read it. You can see me talk about the book in more detail in this YouTube video.
  2. Go for a hike. Since we moved to Denver two years ago, I have severely neglected the amazing hiking locations in our area. Thanksgiving weekend was a perfect time to get out an go for a hike. It was very memorable because I almost ran into a moose that was on the trail!
  3. Procure a vegan, gluten-free, pumpkin flavored baked good. I do love pumpkin-flavored foods, and fall is the perfect time of year to find some new options that meet my dietary needs. My partner and I ended up loving a pumpkin loaf made by a local company and purchased it several times over the last couple of months.
  4. Average 2,500 minutes each month on my Peloton app. To achieve the 20k minute annual goal on my Peloton app, I needed to average at least 2,500 minutes a month of walking, biking, yoga, meditation, and other activities. I expected this to get more challenging as the weather gets colder, and I was right. I should be ending November right at the 15k minute mark, which is a very satisfactory milestone at this point in the year even if I might not hit the overall goal.
  5. Re-visit the Twilight series. The last time I watched these movies was the winter of 2019 and I’ve only read the first book in the series about ten years before that. I was able to get through the first book and the first movie this fall, and I’ll be continuing through the series as we close out the calendar year.
  6. Start to narrow in on my 2024 goals. I like to start brainstorming what goals I might want to include on my 2024 list pretty early (check out this podcast episode to hear some of the prompts I use to generate ideas). I’m still planning to do a “24 for 2024” goals list like I have in previous years and I’m ending the fall season with several ideas for what might go on my list

What is one of your favorite memories from this most recent season?
