This week, I’ve started a 40-day Kriya, which is a requirement for my yoga teacher training. This is when I practice the same form of yoga or meditation each day, for forty days, and record my observations and reflections.
I chose to practice something called “an inner smile” meditation.
This form of meditation asks you to conjure up the feeling of a smile and then to let it spread through your entire body. It’s been just what I needed during this challenging week.
If you want to try it, I found this recording on YouTube that’s less than 7 minutes to complete.
I hope this meditation brings you some comfort and calm, and that it reminds you of the steadiness and stability that always resides in your own body when you connect with your breath.
